The massive 3/11/2011 Japan earthquake and its ensuing tsunami were so 
powerful that they broke off huge icebergs thousands of miles away in 
Antarctica, according to a new study.

Although Halloween wasn't celebrated in Japan until recent years, 
it's becoming popular year after year. Many stores sell colorful

Little did we know that the 'testing' was not over!!  Within 3 days of returning Ken was experiencing pain in his lower right leg along with redness and hardness along the top of the leg. Beings we didn't have a car the first couple years we were in Japan it was nice that at least the church was only about a 15 min. walk away (depending on whether we were walking with our children or not).  It was a quiet neighborhood but opportunities to be with neighbors especially with small children were plentiful. On the 4th of May is what used to be Boy's Day and is celebrated as such in many ways but overall has come to be known as Children's Day. There is an equivilant day for girls in March.
