Tim Cole grew up as a missionary kid in Japan and answered God’s call to come with his wife, Katie from the USA and join a Christian group in helping with the relief effort following the 3/11/11 triple disaster in Japan. He found 100 people evacuated to a Buddhist temple in Onagawa. The temple priest was hesitant to receive any help from Christians, but as Cole and the priest talked, they each realized that they had attended the same kindergarten as children.
When the priest’s wife heard that Cole and the others with him were Christians, she was very excited!
“You should have them teach you how to give effective sermons” she told her husband.
“If you speak from the Bible, that will make a big difference,” suggested Cole and his team. The priest thought that was an interesting suggestion.
Because of the connection that was being rebuilt, Cole’s team was able to bring food and jackets and to ask about other needs. The evacuees especially asked for rubber boots. On Cole’s next trip to Onagawa, he made sure he had a good supply of rubber boots. His wife, Katie also brought boxes of homemade bread and cookies, and while passing them out, the priest’s wife talked to Katie.
“Maybe I need to get my Bible out and start reading it again,” the priest’s wife said at one point.
Imagine the marvelous things God can still accomplish in that Buddhist temple grounds?

God wants everybody to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the Truth!
So use your local circumstances to seek out hearts that might be open even though we can't 'see' how they might be saved! Don't compromise your testimony but use your testimony to start others into thinking.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but that the world through Him might be saved. (John 3:16, 17)
